074: Sounds Like Democracy To Me

January 29th, 2021

Your Gamer Friends have returned with a new episode! “Logging On,” we explain PogChamp, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - Complete Edition, Hitman 3, and Cyber Shadow all release, Lucasfilm Games is born, CD Projekt Red is still under the microscope, Microsoft blunders Xbox Live Gold, and Vicarious Visions moves to Blizzard.

“These Past Two Weeks in Nerdom,” we finally watch the Wonder Woman movies, we stand with Ray Fisher, and we discuss Batman and Batman Beyond. Also on the menu, She-Hulk rumors and the first MCU content in over a year, WandaVision, has finally released.

Finally, we discuss gaming and socialism with Paolo Pedercini, the developer behind Molle Industria, Like Like Arcade, and Democratic Socialism Simulator, Big Nick’s favorite mobile game from last year. We talk Bernie Sanders and democratic socialism (yes, including his simulator), what transitioning away from capitalism might look like for the gaming industry, and why Robert's Rules of Order is fraught from the start.

Thank you so much for listening! As always, we really appreciate the support. Make sure to give us a rating and review, follow us on Twitter, Discord, or Instagram, support us on Patreon, and tell your gamer friends about the show! We’ll catch you back here in two weeks. Happy New Year!
