014: Do Better

August 29th, 2018

Your Gamer Friends are back for another episode, Logging On with a Gamescom roundup. Big Nkrumah is a fan of the Fortnite theme park, Sekiro’s new gameplay and release date, the Battlefield 4 open beta, but AudioNerd64 is less happy about The Division’s pay-to-play stash situation and no new Assassin’s Creed in 2019. The guys also discuss Forza Horizon 2 and 4, including a Halo crossover, PUBG, Destiny 2, NBA Live 19, Cyberpunk 2077(‘s social media team), and Ice-T on the console wars.

These Past Two Weeks in Nerdom, we jump right into Marvel news with rumors of Taika Waititi in talks with Disney in the wake of Guardians of the Galaxy 3’s hold, Doctor Strange 2, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Eve Ewing penning a new Ironheart series; AudioNerd64 makes a correction about the Arrowverse and puts a lot of faith in Regina King’s Watchmen adaptation. Then your hosts switch gears to discuss some black pop culture, including Insecure Season 3, Sorry to Bother You, and BlacKkK lansman, and the “beef” between Boots Riley and Spike Lee.

On The Homescreen, your Gamer Friends are trying really hard to complete the Solstice of Heroes event in Destiny 2, AudioNerd64 is still practicing for Forza Horizon 4, and Big Nkrumah tries Captain Spirit and For Honor.

Thank you so much for tuning in! If you’re a fan of the show, tell a friend and drop us a rating and review -- the more reviews we have, the more likely it is that we’ll be featured. Good looking out, and catch you in two weeks!
